Bob Hamilton is CEO of Irish Trees and Strategic Lead at Dunsany Estate, home to one of Ireland’s most significant private rewilding projects.
With over 35 years’ experience in banking and financial services, Bob brings a strong commercial and risk-based perspective to biodiversity and land use. Since 2019, he has focused on biodiversity and nature restoration, working at the intersection of business, nature and capital.
Through Irish Trees, he partners with corporates to deliver woodland creation, biodiversity initiatives and nature-based engagement aligned with ESG and emerging regulatory frameworks.
At Dunsany Estate, he leads large-scale rewilding and native woodland expansion, creating living examples of how ecological restoration can support biodiversity, climate resilience and long-term economic value.
Bob is a strong advocate for recognising nature as critical infrastructure for the economy, positioning biodiversity as both a business risk and a strategic opportunity.
